「八俣遠呂智」、日本書紀では「八岐大蛇」って書かれてる。
二つとも天武天皇が作ったんだけど最初に着手したのは古事記で、少し遅れて
日本書紀が作られたんだが、古事記は天皇の権威付けのために書かれたもので
日本書紀は下々向けの歴史書として作られたんで分かりやすいく「八俣遠呂智」
を「八岐大蛇」と編集したんだと思う。
まあ、もともと八頭八尾の怪物としか書かれていないんで蛇か龍かも不明だった
はずだよ。
